
The gourd family:
A warm weather crop, gourds can be grown on flat land, sloping trellises or fences. The smaller gourds are decorative and sometimes musical. The larger ones have a practical utility in bird houses, water dippers, bowls or musical instruments. They are unpredictable and readily cross breed. The gourd family provides the essential vitamins.
An Ivy gourd belongs to the family of gourd. Ivy gourd is a tropical plant and is perennial. It belongs to a family Cucurbitaceae.
The snake gourd is a tropical and a subtropical vine; it can be used as a vegetable and a medicine. The fruit is strikingly long.
Indian Deserts are becoming more popular. Like the halwa - halwa can be of different ingredients, it’s not only the flour or wheat but one can prepare halwa of dal as well as from vegetables.
